My best Thanksgiving recipes just in time!

Happy Thanksgiving Reader!

I wanted to send a quick note to help with your Thanksgiving planning, just in case you waited til the last minute to gather up some recipes.

Here are my favorites:

  • Southern sweet tea - This is the very best old fashioned recipe!
  • Candied sweet potatoes - The syrup on these potatoes includes orange juice which sends it out of this world!
  • Crockpot sweet potato casserole - This is a healthier sweet potato side dish that cooks all day in the slow cooker.
  • Praline pumpkin pie - My Granny's easy pumpkin pie has a crunchy pecan brown sugar topping. It's the only pumpkin pie I'll eat.
  • Pumpkin dump cake - This could not be easier. Mix pumpkin with evaporated milk and spices right in a 9x13 pan, then sprinkle with a cake mix and pecans. DONE. We're having this instead of pumpkin pie this year.
  • The easiest cherry pie ever made - You will die when you see how stupid easy this pie is. It's hardly even a recipe, but every year, so many people email me and thank me for posting it. 🤷‍♀️
  • Old fashioned chestnut stuffing - This was my father-in-law's recipe that uses bread, saltines, and real chestnuts to make a stuffing that will delight every single person at the table.
  • Crockpot mashed potatoes - These are the best mashed potatoes ever made because they have sour cream and cream cheese mixed in. Heaven.

I've got tons more Thanksgiving recipes on the site for things like green bean casserole and pecan pie as well as how to spatchcock your turkey so that it roasts in a fraction of the time and comes out the juiciest bird you've ever eaten.
